Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are a large, complex group of synthetic chemicals that have been used in consumer products around the world since the 1950s. Called “forever chemicals,” recent research has shown multiple health effects associated with PFAS exposure.
“We’ve invested a lot of time and research into the development of these new versions of BellBloc 68 and BellBloc 100,” says Laurie Jenkins, a Belltex partner and a well-known textile engineer and fabric designer. “We’re thrilled to offer high-quality versions that are just as innovative and effective as the original products. The only differentiation between the former BellBloc system and the new ‘green’ BellBloc system is the loss of oil-based repellency, something that the entire industry is facing with the elimination of PFAS. But the protection we’re known for – from weather, moisture, mold, and mildew – is just as strong as ever.”
Developed specifically for the outdoor, hospitality, contract, long-term care and residential markets, the innovative BellBloc fabric liners are engineered to keep fabrics looking and performing better while reducing foam compression in the harshest environments.
